Church History

Bethlehem Temple of Praise Church (B.T.O.P) was founded and established on March 17, 2002 by Bishop Stephen D. Halton, along with his family comprised of his wife, son, and daughter. B.T.O.P Church found its humble beginnings with services held within the Hampton Inn located in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The initial bible classes emerged within their family home in Cleveland, Ohio.

As the membership began to grow, worship services moved to a beautiful meeting room inside the Y.M.C.A located in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. After continued blessings and growth, the church settled on Cleveland’s west side into its 3648 Pearl Road location.

Bethlehem Temple of Praise church received a magnanimous blessing from God, when they purchased their current edifice at 2607 Archwood Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio through an auction for a fraction of the price of its worth. Through this blessing- they have been able to operate in full capacity of the core values, that their church was birthed.
